Gunnar Paulsen Joins Lyons Gaddis

Lyons Gaddis announced April 8 that Gunnar Paulsen has joined the firm’s water practice group. 

Paulsen brings experience representing municipalities, special districts, agricultural operations, ski resorts, industrial clients and individuals across Colorado. He has successfully appeared in all seven of Colorado’s water courts, as well as in district and appellate courts and before numerous state agencies. His practice ranges from strategic water supply planning to water court litigation and complex water rights transactions.

Before joining Lyons Gaddis, Paulsen practiced water, land use and water quality law at a Boulder-based firm. He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. 

While in law school, Paulsen led the Acequia Assistance Project, a pro bono effort providing legal services to farmers in the San Luis Valley. He also conducted research at the Getches-Wilkinson Center for Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment and held legal positions with the Native American Rights Fund and the Colorado Attorney General’s Office.
