SUMMARY:Drafting Term Sheets: 2026 Business Document Drafting Series - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Corporate bylaws still matter\, and they surface when the stakes are high. Even as fewer businesses choose the corporate form\, business attorneys regularly encounter bylaws when advising clients on governance questions\, order of operations\, and internal disputes. A working understanding of how bylaws are structured\, and how they function in real-world scenarios\, remains an essential business law skill. \nIn this session\, nationally recognized corporate law expert Herrick Lidstone draws on decades of practice\, scholarship\, and expert-witness experience to walk through the principles that drive effective bylaw drafting. You’ll gain practical insight into how bylaws reflect client goals\, allocate authority\, and shape outcomes when disputes arise\, making this program valuable whether you draft corporate documents or analyze them after the fact.

SUMMARY:Drafting Employment Agreements: 2026 Business Document Drafting Series - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Employment agreements are where business law and employment law collide. For attorneys serving as outside or in-house general counsel\, drafting these agreements can feel high-risk\, particularly given the rapidly evolving legal landscape around restrictive covenants\, compensation\, and separation terms. \nIn this session\, experienced employment attorneys Emily Tichenor and Meredith VanderWilt walk business lawyers through what should and should not appear in modern employment agreements. The program focuses on the provisions that matter most in practice\, including compensation structures\, intellectual property protection\, restrictive covenants\, executive and separation terms\, and the employment law constraints that shape them. Designed for non-specialists\, this program helps business attorneys approach employment agreements with greater clarity\, confidence\, and judgment.

SUMMARY:AI Advisor: Use AI to Help Manage Your Firm - Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Many groundbreaking inventions begin with someone’s desire to eliminate a rote task or annoyance. Remember texting before touchscreens? Smartphones produced their own gripes\, but the iPhone and its progeny exist partly because\, as former iPhone head Scott Forstall recalls\, “We all hated our phones.” And smartphones have eliminated plenty of rote tasks and a surprising number of single-use devices. \nWill AI do the same? With many companies announcing AI additions to their products\, what should lawyers feel comfortable delegating to general-purpose AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot? Although not trained in legal nuances\, they can eliminate some of the annoyances within the business side of a law practice. AI is a fantastic tool to end procrastination around firm management. Rather than staring at an empty screen with a blinking cursor\, have AI produce a rough draft to get you started. It will need editing\, but it’s a start.

DESCRIPTION:Work with a pro-bono habeas client in the next two years to attend this program for free!\nThe Issue:\nThe number of people held in U.S. federal immigration detention is unprecedented. In January 2026 alone\, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detained 39\,694 people. At the same time the federal government has ramped up enforcement actions\, the agencies charged with administering immigration law have adopted a restrictive statutory interpretation\, now finding that most people in immigration custody do not qualify for release. The sole mechanism to challenge unlawful detention and restore people’s liberty is through filing habeas petitions.
