DESCRIPTION:The Byron R. White Center presents the 15th annual John Paul Stevens Lecture featuring The Honorable Carlton W. Reeves of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Judge Reeves’ lecture\, entitled “Democracy at Sentencing\,” will provide a reflection on Judge Reeves’ time as Chair of the United States Sentencing Commission and the role of that agency in making the federal criminal justice system better reflect democratic commitments to equality\, inclusion\, and participation. \nThe lecture will take place from 5-6:30p with a reception to follow for in person attendees. \nParking details and the zoom link will be shared the day before the event. \nCLE Credit is pending approval.
