Dickinson Wright announced that Travis Riley has joined the firm’s Denver office as a member.
Riley focuses his practice on construction law and commercial litigation. He represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and developers in disputes arising throughout the life of a construction project, including contract negotiation, drafting and litigation in state and federal courts. He advises clients in Colorado, Texas and other jurisdictions on construction-related legal matters.
His practice includes mechanic’s liens, construction defect claims, breach-of-contract disputes, payment and delay claims, public works and government contracts, business torts, partnership disputes, contractor terminations, and design and change-order matters. He also advises construction companies on risk management and drafts and negotiates construction contracts.
Riley is a fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America and serves as attorneys council for the American Subcontractors Association of Colorado. He also teaches at the Construction Mastery Institute on legal risk management and construction industry issues.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
