

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced that Adam Burg has joined the firm’s State Government Relations practice as a senior policy adviser in its Denver office.
Burg has experience in government relations, public affairs and policy development at the local, state and federal levels. He previously held government affairs roles with Adams County, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Foster Graham Milstein & Calisher.
Burg most recently served as director of federal and state affairs for the city and county of Denver under Mayor Mike Johnston, where he led the city’s state and federal legislative agenda. He managed relationships with Colorado’s congressional delegation, state lawmakers, federal agencies and national municipal organizations and advised city leadership on policy initiatives and federal funding opportunities.
At Brownstein, Burg will advise clients on legislative, regulatory and political matters, including advocacy strategies and stakeholder engagement.
“Adam will draw on his work with a diverse range of industries and issue areas to provide strategic counsel on stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy,” said Doug Friednash, co-chair of Brownstein’s State Government Relations Group. “His experience developing and advancing public policy solutions as part of Mayor Mike Johnston’s administration will provide tremendous value to our clients as they address business issues in Colorado.”
Burg earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree from the University of Denver.
