The Colorado River’s uncertain future brought together water leaders, legal experts, tribal representatives, policymakers and stakeholders from across the West for the Getches-Wilkinson Center’s 46th annual Natural Resources Law Conference in Boulder. Hosted June 4-5 by the Getches-Wilkinson Center and the Water & Tribes Initiative, the conference examined the complex legal, environmental and policy challenges facing the river as negotiations continue over how to manage the Colorado River after the expiration of current operating guidelines in 2026.
