Fox Rothschild announced that Jon T. Hoistad has joined the firm’s Denver office as counsel in its Real Estate Department.
Hoistad advises clients on real estate and land use matters in Colorado, including financing, real property entitlements, metropolitan district organization and covenant adoption and enforcement. His clients include developers, property owners and local government entities.
His practice includes negotiating and drafting public and private capital financing agreements, development agreements and intergovernmental agreements involving local and regional public entities. He also advises on the formation and governance of special districts under Title 32 of the Colorado Revised Statutes.
Hoistad’s work includes private loan placements and public and private bond issuances secured by property taxes, fees and other revenue sources. He also advises on land use entitlements, annexation agreements, municipal matters, real property transactions and civil litigation involving condemnation, construction defects and water rights.
Outside the firm, Hoistad is involved with local organizations focused on youth mentorship, educational attainment and safe housing.
Hoistad earned his law degree from the University of Colorado Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Before joining Fox Rothschild, Hoistad was an associate at McGeady Becher Cortese Williams PC.
