
Davis Graham & Stubbs announced Oct. 1 that Julia Boccagno has joined the firm as an associate in its Trial Group. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Before joining Davis Graham, Boccagno served as a law clerk and judicial assistant to Colorado Supreme Court Justice Maria Berkenkotter, where she researched legal issues and prepared memoranda on certiorari petitions and other matters before the court. She also externed for Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Monica M. Márquez.
Boccagno earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with Public Good Distinction. During law school, she served as a staff editor of the Denver Law Review and published research examining mass tort bankruptcy proceedings. She also represented clients through the Civil Litigation Clinic and held positions with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado.
Before entering the legal profession, Boccagno worked as a journalist in Washington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from American University, with minors in international relations and Italian.
