
Foley Hoag announced that three partners have joined its Denver office, strengthening the firm’s ability to serve life sciences, technology, and other innovative companies throughout the Mountain West and beyond. David Walker and Tyler Boschert have joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Department, and Scott Perlov has joined the firm’s Emerging Company & Venture Capital Practice Group.

David Walker and Tyler Boschert are intellectual property attorneys who advise life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and technology companies on intellectual property strategy, patent portfolio development, and the protection of scientific and technological advancements.
Drawing on a scientific background in molecular biology, Walker has more than 20 years of experience advising clients in areas including biologics, antibodies, stem cells, cell and gene therapies, and other emerging technologies. He has been recognized by IAM Patent 1000 and The Best Lawyers in America. Walker earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his M.S. in molecular neuroendocrinology from the University of Denver.

With a technical foundation in chemical engineering and economics, Boschert brings an understanding of the scientific and commercial considerations that shape intellectual property-driven businesses. He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and holds an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and economics from Northwestern University.

Scott Perlov brings more than two decades of experience as outside general counsel advising startups, emerging companies, and investors throughout the growth journey, representing clients from solo founders and early-stage startups to late-stage venture-backed companies. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of corporate law and venture capital law and has practiced at large international firms. Perlov holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
