The Supreme Court Nominating Commission has nominated three candidates for a
vacancy on the Colorado Supreme Court. The vacancy was created by the retirement of
the Honorable Melissa Hart, effective Jan. 5, 2026.
Honorable Susan Blanco of Fort Collins, Andrea S. Wang of Denver, and Honorable
Christopher Clayton Zenisek of Golden were selected by the commission on Feb. 2, 2026.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from Feb. 3, 2026, to
appoint one of the nominees as a justice on the Colorado Supreme Court.
