Claire Mueller Recognized with 2025 Davis Award

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced that partner Claire Mueller was selected as the 2025 recipient of the Richard Marden Davis Award, marking a celebration of her outstanding service to the legal community, along with her civic and charitable contributions. Claire was presented with the award at a dinner held February 12.

The Davis Award is presented annually, in partnership with the Denver Bar Association and the Davis family, to a Denver lawyer age 40 or younger who combines excellence in the practice of law with civic, cultural, educational, and charitable leadership. The award was established in memory of Richard Marden Davis, one of the founders of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, who devoted himself tirelessly to both the legal profession and the community. Each recipient exemplifies the character and promise of Dick Davis at that stage of his career.

“Claire embodies the very best of the legal profession,” said Davis Graham Co-Managing Partner, Chad Williams. “She is an exceptional lawyer, a trusted colleague, and a leader who brings creativity, integrity, and deep commitment to everything she does. Her dedication to her clients, her community, and the practice of law makes her a truly deserving recipient of the Davis Award.”

Mueller joined Davis Graham in 2015 and was elevated to the partnership in 2025. She is a skilled advocate in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on product liability and personal injury defense, as well as corporate control and real estate disputes. Her practice is marked by strategic insight and strong advocacy.

In addition to her litigation practice, Mueller is deeply committed to pro bono service and community leadership. Fluent in Spanish, she has devoted substantial time to immigration advocacy, including representing asylum seekers and securing immigration relief for vulnerable individuals. She also helped lead Davis Graham’s pro bono representation of Denver Public Schools in litigation challenging changes to long-standing federal “safe spaces” policies.

Mueller serves on the board of Family Star Montessori, where she supports educational opportunities for children and families facing economic insecurity. She is also a graduate of the Colorado Bar Association’s Leadership Training (COBALT) program and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Impact Denver program, and she is a soon-to-be graduate of the General Counsel Mentor Program.
