Gov. Jared Polis has appointed Melanie Morgan to the San Miguel County Court in the 7th Judicial District, effective immediately. Her appointment fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Sean Murphy.
Morgan is the co-founder and managing partner at Morgan Pilate LLC, where her practice consists of criminal defense and civil matters. In addition, she was the founder at the Law Office of Melanie S. Morgan and associate attorney at the Law Office of Joseph D. Johnson, Chtd.
Morgan earned her B.A. from Kansas State University and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law.
