Volunteer lawyers sought for Spanish-speaking clients

Metro Volunteer Lawyers is in need of attorneys to help with cases involving Spanish-speaking clients in Adams County and Arapahoe counties. The clients seek assistance with:

  • Mediation involving a dissolution of marriage with children in Adams County:
    • The parties wish to address allocation of parental responsibilities for two children.
    • One party is represented.
    • A temporary civil protection order has been issued.
    • There is a permanent restraining order hearing scheduled for July.
    • Both parties are exclusively Spanish‑speaking.
  • The dissolution of marriage with one child in Arapahoe County:
    • The dissolution of marriage case was closed in January, but a motion to reopen the case has been filed.
    • The client would like assistance in pursuing a settlement concerning APR.
    • Both parties are bilingual and speak Spanish and English fluently.
