10th Circuit rules no discrimination

In Joshua F. Young v. Colorado Department of Corrections, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has again reviewed the issues raised by Plaintiff-Appellant Young and determined that there was no hostile work environment based on race.

Young was employed by the Colorado Department of Corrections. During his time there, he had to attend a training program addressing racial sensitivity and the historical suppression of racial minorities. Plaintiff-Appellant claimed the training was so extreme that it created a hostile work environment for Whites like himself. The Court disagreed.
