Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced that Max Porteus, an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, has been appointed to the board of directors of Wish for Wheels, a nonprofit organization that provides new bicycles and helmets to second-grade students at Title I schools.

Porteus has been involved with the organization for three years and previously served on its partner board in 2023. In his new role, he will help guide the organization’s strategy, support fundraising and community engagement efforts, and serve as an ambassador for its mission.

“As a long-time cyclist and former teacher, serving on the board of directors of Wish for Wheels brings together two of my greatest passions,” Porteus said. “Few experiences are more rewarding than helping a child experience the excitement, freedom and independence that come with owning a bicycle. At the same time, Wish for Wheels creates meaningful opportunities for businesses to strengthen their teams through service, transforming traditional team-building into tangible community impact. Being part of an organization that changes lives for children while helping companies build purpose-driven cultures is incredibly fulfilling.”
