Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced Oct. 9 that Adam Burg, a senior policy adviser in the firm’s State Government Relations Group, has been appointed to the board of directors of Family Tree, a nonprofit organization that provides services addressing child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness in the Denver metropolitan area.
Burg will serve a three-year term on the board, helping oversee the organization’s strategy and operations.
Burg has experience in government affairs, public policy and community relations. His background includes working with elected officials, government agencies, nonprofit organizations and community partners throughout Colorado.
“I am interested in serving on the Family Tree Board because I believe in the importance of organizations that provide real, practical support to individuals and families navigating difficult circumstances,” Burg said. “After more than a dozen years working in Colorado politics, including campaigns, legislation, public policy and government relations, I have seen how decisions made by government and community institutions can directly affect people’s lives. This is an opportunity to contribute beyond my professional work and be part of an organization doing tangible work in the community.”
