Get more acquainted with the Colorado legal community with our weekly 5Q feature.

Submissions come from lawyers, paralegals, judges, law professors and other members of the legal community. In 5Q, you’ll discover insights into the profession while learning more about the people behind the practice.

This week’s 5Q features Conner Eversole, a director at Fairfield and Woods, P.C., where his practice area is Real Estate. He prefers coffee over tea during trial prep, paper vs. digital briefs, research and writing rather than trial work, and he considers himself a night-owl lawyer.

Question 1: What’s your favorite outdoor activity in Colorado?
Eversole: Camping or golfing.

Q2: What’s your favorite indoor activity in Colorado?
Eversole: Reading.

Q3: If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be doing in Colorado?
Eversole: Probably brewing beer.

Q4: What’s something you know now that you wish you’d known when you began practicing?
Eversole: Quality, speed and cost move in tension. If you push on one, the others give. Pick the two that matter most.

Q4: What legal issue do you think will matter most in the next 10 years?
Eversole: AI liability. When an AI system makes a decision that causes harm, who pays and under what theory? The developer, the deployer, the data supplier, the user or no one?

Eversole, who has been in his current position for seven years, attended the University of Tulsa College of Law.

Law Week Colorado invites Colorado legal professionals to share their insights and experiences with the community with our 5Q Questionnaire.

Responses may be edited for clarity and length and will be published in the order received. Your patience is appreciated. If you have questions, email [email protected].
