
Governor Polis appointed Andrew D. Herlihy to the El Paso County Court in the 4th Judicial District. The appointment fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable D. Denise Peacock, and is effective August 1, 2026.
Herlihy is a District Court Magistrate in the 4th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2025. His docket consists of juvenile delinquency and domestic relations matters. Previously, he was an Assistant County Attorney in the El Paso County Attorney’s Office (2024-2025) and Deputy District Attorney in the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (2014-2024). Herlihy earned his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2009 and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2013.
