Greenberg Traurig announced Oct. 16 that Shane C. Griffin has joined the firm’s Denver office from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, expanding its real estate practice.
Griffin advises developers, institutional owners, investors and lenders on real estate transactions involving office, multifamily, industrial and data center properties. His experience includes office and mixed-use developments in Denver’s Lower Downtown, River North, Cherry Creek and Central Business District neighborhoods.
Griffin has represented real estate owners, developers and investors, including Hines, Invesco, Rockefeller Group and Related Companies.
His experience includes advising a joint venture between Hines, Perlmutter and a financial institution on the approximately $225 million sale of 1601 Wewatta, an office tower near Denver’s Union Station. According to the firm, the transaction set a record for the highest per-square-foot office sale price in Colorado at the time and was negotiated and completed in fewer than 30 days.
Griffin earned his law degree from the University of Colorado and his bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University. He is also a graduate of the Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership Program.
