Jayme Ritchie, director of pro bono and community impact at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, has been appointed to the board of directors of Denver Film, Colorado’s only nonprofit theater.

Ritchie, who grew up in New York and was immersed in its arts environment, will serve on the board of directors for a three-year term.

“In the current climate, where polarization and fragmentation is a common feeling, film has the ability to serve as a unifying force through storytelling, visual imagery and emotional connection,” she said, adding that she recognizes the significance of theater and film in the Denver community.”

Denver Film, which is dedicated to engaging its members and the public in a lifelong relationship with film, operates the Sie FilmCenter and presents the annual Denver Film Festival and a series of spotlight festivals. It also produces the summer movies series, Film on the Rocks, at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
