
Fintech attorneys Richard Levin and Bobby Wenner have joined Taft in Denver. Levin joins as the chair of the firm’s fintech practice.
Since the advent of electronic trading in the late 1990s and cryptocurrencies in early 2011, Levin has practiced at the forefront of financial technology and regulatory change. According to Taft’s announcement, he is one of the first lawyers to focus on the regulation of blockchain and digital assets. Levin’s experience as a senior legal and compliance officer on Wall Street and in London enables him to advise clients on corporate, fintech, securities and regulatory issues.
Wenner counsels financial services and technology firms on financial services regulatory and corporate matters, using his background as the chief legal officer of a FINRA-member broker-dealer and alternative trading system designed for trading digital asset securities, as well as the associate general counsel of the holding company.
Levin and Wenner joined Taft from another 1,000-lawyer firm with a location in Denver.
Levin earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Colorado College. Wenner earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree from the University of Denver.
