Stephanie Hiquiana, Jennifer Blomstrom Join Spencer Fane’s Denver Office

Spencer Fane LLP on April 16 announced that Jennifer Blomstrom has joined the firm’s Denver office as an of counsel attorney in the litigation and dispute resolution practice group, and Stephanie Hiquiana has joined as an associate in the labor and employment practice group.

Blomstrom represents both policyholders and insurance carriers in coverage disputes and litigation with an acute attention to detail and precise execution derived from her former experience as in-house coverage counsel to an insurance provider.

With more than 15 years of legal experience in the insurance sector, Blomstrom navigates a diverse array of claims, including construction defect, employment practices, copyright infringement, professional malpractice, public entity liability and other availability of coverage questions.

Blomstrom’s track record of complex casework includes multiyear trigger and allocation, additional insured and contractual indemnity, as well as extra-contractual liability arising out of state-specific claim-handling guidelines and time limit demands. She has advised on insurance coverage issues involving the laws of multiple states, including insuring agreement requirements, duty to defend and extra-contractual exposure.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University, Blomstrom earned her J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

Hiquiana represents companies in employment law matters, navigating obstacles that may lead to disputes and providing full-service coverage through day-to-day counsel, long-term compliance strategies, and, when necessary, litigation.

In addition to her employment law practice, Hiquiana has represented clients through a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including equine law disputes.

Hiquiana received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, then worked as a public relations professional for international health care and consumer brands. Later, she earned her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law while completing internships in both the public and private sectors, including serving as a law clerk at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
