15th Annual John Paul Stevens Lecture: Democracy at Sentencing
The Byron R. White Center presents the 15th annual John Paul Stevens Lecture featuring The Honorable Carlton W. Reeves of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Judge Reeves’ lecture, entitled “Democracy at Sentencing,” will provide a reflection on Judge Reeves’ time as Chair of the United States Sentencing Commission and the role of that agency in making the federal criminal justice system better reflect democratic commitments to equality, inclusion, and participation.
The lecture will take place from 5-6:30p with a reception to follow for in person attendees.
The event location is Wolf Law Building – Wittemyer Courtroom. Parking details and the zoom link will be shared the day before the event.
CLE Credit is pending approval. Information for redeeming the CLE credit will be available at the event in person and will also be sent out via email to all attendees after the lecture.
