Week of Aug. 20-26, 2024

A federal judge in Texas found that the Federal Trade Commission exceeded its authority with the noncompete ban and that the rule was arbitrary and capricious. Also this week, the 10th Circuit agreed with the district court that the Colorado Court of Appeals erred with regard to the confrontation clause in the Alexander Pogosyan case, but agreed with the district court that the error was harmless.
