Week of Sept. 17-23, 2024

Law Week Colorado checked in with Terrance Carroll, who recently returned to private practice at Sherman & Howard, about his legal and political careers, his priorities and his vision for the Sam Cary Bar Association as president. In just two months since its launch, the Denver County Court’s new competency support docket has heard more 200 cases and made more than 100 referrals. The city of Boulder is alleging that 15 bedrooms on a property were constructed without building permits, land-use approval or life-safety inspections. Also this week, the U.S. Supreme Court denied a petition to vacate an injunction blocking the Nevada Green Party from appearing on the 2024 ballot.
