Foley Hoag adds partner to healthcare department

Foley Hoag announced that Lauren Carboni has joined the firm as a partner in the Healthcare Department, based in the Denver office. Carboni brings more than a decade of experience in healthcare law and strengthens the firm’s ability to serve clients across the Rocky Mountain region.

Carboni advises healthcare providers, hospitals, physician groups, and behavioral health organizations on complex regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse matters, and government enforcement actions. She has experience with False Claims Act litigation, internal investigations, regulatory risk assessments, healthcare due diligence on transactions, and administrative appeals before federal and state agencies. She also counsels clients in the regulated psychedelics and cannabis sectors on licensing, compliance, and business operations.

“I am excited to welcome Lauren to the firm,” said Healthcare Department Co-Chair Edo Banach. “Her roots in the region and expertise in emerging areas of healthcare law, such as psychedelic medicine and cannabis regulation, will allow us to adapt to the rapidly-shifting healthcare landscape and better serve our clients in Colorado and nationwide.”

“Foley Hoag’s nationally recognized healthcare practice makes this the ideal platform for my practice,” Carboni said. “I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues to support healthcare providers in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.”

Carboni earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her B.S. from Saint Joseph’s University.
