Fortis Law Partners, a woman-owned law firm based in Denver, announced April 30 it’s celebrating a decade of service this year.

Established on April 30, 2014, through the merger of two legal practices, Fortis has grown significantly, more than doubling in both size and profitability since its inception. In 2014, longtime friends Julie Herzog and Christine Lamb merged their respective firms, combining decades of experience and a shared vision.

Fortis and its attorneys have been honored by Super Lawyers and Martindale-Hubbell, Best Lawyers and Chambers. The firm has also earned recognition as one of Denver’s fastest-growing private companies by CoBiz Magazine in 2022 and then again by the Denver Business Journal in 2023.

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we are immensely proud of the firm we have built and the lasting relationships we have forged with our clients,” managing partner Christine Lamb said in a press release.

Partner Henry Baskerville, who joined Fortis in 2017, added, “Our success is a testament to the dedication and talent of the team, which consistently delivers exceptional results while upholding our core values. I am honored to be a part of what we have built.”

The firm has practices spanning commercial litigation, corporate law, employment law and more.

“We are committed to delivering innovative, practical solutions that help our clients achieve their goals,” said managing partner Julie Herzog in a press release. “Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of law and our personal experience as entrepreneurs, enabling us to provide strategic advice that drives results.”

In its announcement about the 10-year anniversary, the firm noted it also remains committed to pro bono work and supporting charitable organizations. Firm attorneys and staff mentor law students, volunteer at local shelters and serve on various nonprofit boards.
