Gov. Polis Appoints Thomas Henderson to the 18th Judicial District Court

Gov. Jared Polis on March 3 appointed Thomas Henderson to the 18th Judicial District Court, serving Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Judge John Scipione and is effective immediately. 

Henderson is a shareholder at Burg Simpson, a position he’s held since 1994. His practice consists primarily of civil litigation regarding insurance claims. Previously, he was an associate attorney at Burg Simpson from 1987 to 1994. 


Henderson earned his bachelor’s degree from Whitman College in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1987.
