Gov. Polis Appoints Timothy Lane to the Gilpin County Court in the 1st Judicial District

Gov. Jared Polis on Nov. 29 appointed Timothy Lane to the Gilpin County Court in the 1st Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Judge David Taylor and is effective immediately. 

Lane is a staff attorney, legislative liaison and policy analyst at the Colorado District Attorneys’ Council, a position he’s held since 2016, according to the announcement. Previously, Lane was deputy DA in the 1st Judicial District from 2001 to 2016. 


Lane received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado College in 1997 and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2001.
