Ireland Stapleton announced Aug. 8 attorney Scott Rodgers has joined the firm as a director. Rodgers is a commercial trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience working with local and national companies, business owners, executives and high-net-worth entrepreneurs to resolve complex business disputes. In his practice, he represents clients in jury and bench trials, appeals in state and federal courts, arbitrations, mediations and litigation avoidance strategies. He earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. 


Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced Aug. 10 Elizabeth Griffith has joined the firm’s energy and mining group as of counsel. Her practice will continue to have an emphasis on oil and gas matters. Prior to joining DGS, Griffith worked for an exploration and production company headquartered in Denver, where she led the negotiation and review for the upstream contract program. She also served as a contractual risk attorney for an integrated financial services company and analyzed more than 1,000 business-to-business contracts. Griffith received her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. 

Odds and Ends

The 2023 Awards Luncheon of the Colorado Lawyers Committee will be held Sept. 27 at the Ritz-Carlton Denver. This year’s keynote speaker is Colorado Supreme Court Justice Melissa Hart. Another highlight of the luncheon will be an awards presentation to honor individuals and organizations that have contributed significantly to the Colorado Lawyers Committee. David Stark of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP will receive the Legal Legacy Award which honors an attorney whose legacy of dedicated service and leadership has fostered a culture within a firm or the larger legal community that elevates the importance of pro bono legal work.
