Kara Clark appointed to 8th Judicial District Court

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis has appointed Kara Clark to the 8th Judicial District Court, effective immediately. The vacancy is created by the appointment of Susan Blanco to the Colorado Supreme Court. 

Clark has served as a District Court magistrate in the 8th Judicial District since 2024. Her docket consisted of domestic matters. Previously, Clark was an assistant county attorney in the Larimer County Attorney’s Office, a partner at Lamborne & Clark, LLC, partner at Shufflebarger, Lamborne & Clark, LLC, partner at Liley & Clark and supervising attorney and staff attorney at Crossroads Safehouse, Bringing Justice Home Project.


Clark earned her B.A. from Cornell University in 2005 and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2009.
