Werge & Corbin Law Group announced April 15 that Matt Stevens has joined the firm, returning to the full-time practice of law. Stevens brings decades of legal and business experience with some of the largest entities in some of the most complexly regulated industries, according to the announcement. He has also appeared before the Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission on antitrust and competition disputes.

Jerad West joined Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP as their newest construction and insurance law partner. West represents general contractors, sureties, subcontractors and developers in commercial and residential construction transactions, state and federal courts and national and international arbitration forums. He also provides risk and coverage analysis for his clients and guides them through the investigation and claim processes.
Spencer Fane LLP on April 16 announced that Jennifer Blomstrom has joined the firm’s Denver office as an of counsel attorney in the litigation and dispute resolution practice group, and Stephanie Hiquiana has joined as an associate in the labor and employment practice group. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University, Blomstrom earned her J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Hiquiana received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, then worked as a public relations professional for international health care and consumer brands. Later, she earned her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law while completing internships in both the public and private sectors, including serving as a law clerk at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

Taft/Sherman & Howard announced that attorney Harshy Kaur Badhesha has been appointed president-elect of the South Asian Bar Association of Colorado and will assume the role of president in 2026. Badhesha has been a SABA-CO member for seven years, since her first year of law school, and has served in various leadership roles within the organization. In June, Denver will be hosting the SABA North American Conference for the first time. Badhesha will serve on the conference committee as Colorado welcomes more than 1,000 South Asian attorneys and legal professionals from across the country.



Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP announced that Charles Testa joined the firm’s partnership. Prior to joining BHGR, Testa worked as a deputy public defender in Adams County. He has represented individuals in more than 30 jury trials. Testa works with clients through every stage of a criminal case. He also represents individuals on various civil matters, including those concerning breach of fiduciary duty, business disputes and insurance. Larry Myers was voted in as an equity partner last month. Myers’ practice focuses on construction and litigation. He represents construction clients in state and federal courts at all levels and in arbitration. Prior to attending law school, Myers served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006 to 2011. Nick DeBruyne was also elevated to partner. DeBruyne represents individuals and national businesses in state and federal court on various personal injury claims. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving serious bodily injury and death caused by vehicular, workplace or private accidents.

Adams & Reese announced a comprehensive rebrand and website refresh. Founded in 1951, the firm has more than 320 attorneys and advisors in 18 offices across 10 states and Washington, D.C., with legal representation in more than 75 practice areas. Since the turn of the century, Adams & Reese has expanded its footprint by opening 12 offices and adding a net increase of approximately 100 attorneys and advisors. In 2023, Adams & Reese engaged New York-based branding agency and communications firm Starfish to launch the rebranding initiative. Client input, market research and feedback from the firm’s attorneys and advisors helped guide the brand evolution.
