The Annual Advanced Family Law Conference – In-Person

December 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The hardest family law cases rarely come with easy answers. The 2026 Advanced Family Law Conference, presented by the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, takes on the complicated questions, changing law, and difficult decisions that can shape a domestic relations case. Designed for experienced family law attorneys and LLPs, this conference offers a full day focused on sharpening your judgment, strategy and advocacy. Newer attorneys and LLPs will also benefit from an inside look at the complex issues, strategies, and courtroom considerations that experienced practitioners navigate in challenging cases.

• Stay current: Get up to speed on important legislation like SB25-116 (DV-driven spousal maintenance analysis) and HB23-1178 (Kayden’s Law).
• Take on the tough cases: Go deeper on business valuation, resist-refuse and parent-child contact problems, and agreements that are being enforced or attacked.
• Get the view from the bench: Close the day with a candid 80-minute conversation with Colorado judicial officers about what works in the courtroom, what does not, and what they wish practitioners knew.

For those attending in person, stay after the conference for a hosted happy hour and a chance to connect with colleagues.

CLE CREDITS: This program has been submitted for 8 General CLE Credits, including 1 Ethics/Professionalism Credits.
