Davis Graham & Stubbs announced May 10 that three attorneys have joined the firm’s natural resources department from the Denver office of Gleaton Doumany: Craig Gleaton, Rachael Lechner and Katie Roux. The firm also added Paul Prendergast, Ph.D., as a partner in the firm’s finance and acquisitions department.
Gleaton returns to DGS as a partner after previously working with the firm. His work will continue to have an emphasis on oil and gas transactional matters, specifically those involving negotiations for operators, non-operating partners, private equity backed ventures and landowners. He previously worked with a small oil and gas law firm in Fort Worth, Texas, and SM Energy Company. In 2017, he co-founded Gleaton Doumany, a boutique oil and gas law firm with offices in Denver and Fort Worth. He received a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, North Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.
Lechner joined DGS as of counsel. She received a law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2009 and is admitted to practice in Colorado, New York and Wyoming. Before attending law school, she served as a financial analyst for three Denver-based companies.
Roux joined DGS as an associate. She is admitted in Colorado and New Mexico. Her practice will continue to focus on title examination and due diligence in oil and gas matters. She received a law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law and previously interned at SM Energy Company and Encana Corporation and worked as corporate counsel at DaVita before joining Gleaton Doumany.
Davis Graham & Stubbs announced May 7 Prendergast, Ph.D., joined the firm. His work will continue to have an emphasis on intellectual property but without a patent prosecution component.
Prendergast is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has worked with biotech, chemical, big-pharma and materials technology companies to protect their inventions, brands and other intellectual property assets. His experience spans several dimensions of intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright; U.S. and foreign patent prosecution; freedom to operate; infringement and validity; licensing agreements; intellectual property risk; and IP due diligence.
Prior to joining DGS, Prendergast practiced law at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck where he was a shareholder. He was previously a partner at Merchant & Gould in Denver.
Prendergast received a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and a doctoral degree and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado.

Stinson announced Thursday that Lucas Schneider has joined the firm as of counsel in Denver.
Schneider joins the firm’s bankruptcy and creditors’ rights division. He has a background in business law, commercial contracting and civil litigation, and has assisted with agreements on technical equipment, real estate purchases, easements and boundary line agreements.
Schneider has prior experience in insurance defense and general civil and criminal litigation, solving business disputes, collections and landlord/tenant cases.
He received a law degree from Marquette University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Towards Justice announced Wednesday that Juno Turner joined the organization as litigation director.
Before joining Towards Justice, Turner was a partner at Outten & Golden, where she litigated wage and hour and employment discrimination class actions on behalf of workers around the country. Before that she clerked in the Eastern District of New York and worked in the Labor Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General.

Ogborn Mihm announced Wednesday that Emily Fiscus has joined the firm as an associate.
Prior to joining the firm, Fiscus began her career as an attorney with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender.
She received a law degree from Emory University. During law school, she interned for the Judge Amy Totenberg in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Holland & Hart announced May 13 that Amy Lovin joined the firm’s Denver office as an associate in its corporate practice group.
She assists clients with all stages of project development, finance, and commercial transactions, primarily in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Amy worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the Legal and Acquisition Services departments as a Policy & Compliance Program Manager. She received a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Samford University.

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced Wednesday that Samantha Palladino, an associate in the firm’s Denver office, has been appointed to the board of directors of Environmental Learning for Kids.
ELK is a nonprofit organization that develops leaders through science education and outdoor experiences for underserved, urban youth.
Palladino will participate in ELK’s planning, evaluate ELK’s leadership, approve the organization’s budget, help organize fundraising events and opportunities, and participate in student programs and ELK events.
Firm Name Change
Boulder-based law firm Knight Nicastro is changing its name to Knight Nicastro MacKay, effective immediately with the promotion of attorney Derek MacKay to named partner. MacKay is a member in the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, office.
The firm has offices in Colorado, Illinois, Missouri and Montana. The firm represents clients through all phases of litigation.
