Local Firms Announce New Attorneys, Recognitions; Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program Announces Open Position

Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP announced Sept. 27 Alec Harris joined the firm as a business litigation partner in the Denver office. Harris defends clients in complex commercial litigation, litigation involving highly regulated entities, class actions and trademark disputes. His clients are in many industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, agriculture, finance, consumer packaged goods, digital advertising, telecommunications, health care, retail and hospitality. Previously a partner at a national law firm with offices in Denver, Harris has broad experience in litigation matters across the country and in Colorado. 


Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced Sept. 28 Jason Werner joined the firm as of counsel in the business and corporate advisory group. His practice will continue to have an emphasis on corporate transactions, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters. Prior to joining DGS, Werner practiced in the Denver office of an international law firm.

Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced Sept. 25 Kendall Godley has been named the recipient of the 2023 Sam Cary Bar Association’s Billy Lewis Young Lawyer Award. This award is presented at the Sam Cary Scholarship Endowment Fund Annual Gala to attorneys under the age of 40 who have been practicing for less than five years and embody the spirit and drive of Billy Lewis, a founding member of SCBA. The award celebrates young lawyers who have demonstrated an elevated level of dedication and loyalty to the legal profession. Godley, an active member of the SCBA, currently serves on the board of directors of the Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce and Denver Kids Inc. At DGS, Godley focuses his practice on corporate transactional law, mergers and acquisitions, securities law and general corporate matters. 

Odds and Ends

The Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program (CAMP) announced Sept. 25 it’s hiring a director of mentoring and community engagement. This is a hybrid position with a salary ranging from $85,000 to $105,000 and begins in November. Applications are due Oct. 16. The director will perform innovative and skilled work in providing program outreach, relationship facilitation and participant recruitment services to CAMP mentors, mentees and partners.  To view the announcement click here
