A trio of bills introduced in both the House and Senate this past week would make changes to the Colorado Open Records Act and the Colorado Open Meetings Law.

This week, lawmakers introduced a handful of bills that address evictions in the state.

It was an interesting 2023 legislative session for housing in Colorado as the state continues to deal with a shortfall. 

The Colorado legislature has a Democratic supermajority and a slew of laws were passed related to a variety of topics including guns. 

According to a 2021-2022 report from the Foundation for Community Association Research, there were 358,000 community associations in the U.S. in 2021.

It’s been about a decade since Colorado legalized marijuana for those 21 and over.

A bill that would have removed a district attorney candidate’s political party from the ballot was killed in committee.
