The brief 2020 legislative session dealt with some of the major issues from the coronavirus, such as making temporary telehealth solutions more long-term. But 2021 has seen many legislative issues bubble up that either continue that work — such as expanding the telehealth bill from last year — or that address controversial topics that have been a long time coming, such as the creation of a public option for health insurance as well as other topics like an expansion of protections for pregnant mothers.
