The University of Denver Sturm College of Law's Nov. 10 Law Stars event will honor five people for their impact on the legal field; Bridge to Justice, Colorado Legal Services and other organizations will receive grant funding for domestic violence programs; the Colorado Judicial Institute hosted its annual gala to celebrate Colorado's judicial system and this year’s Judicial Excellence Award honorees; Colorado Rep. Ken Buck will not seek a sixth term in congress next year; Judge Gil Martinez, a sitting senior judge and retired district court chief Judge of the 4th Judicial District, died at the age of 72; and we asked the local legal community about the future implications of a recent state Supreme Court decision concerning the use of a “reverse-keyword” warrant.
